The following is information compiled from “Monsters & Critics” and “The Hollywood Reporter”:

Olivier Martinez has been cast in a new first-of-its kind online crime drama. The French actor has signed up to play elusive cybercriminal Gustove Dobreff in the fictional digital film, which is due to premiere on Yahoo.

Olivier will star alongside Missy Peregrym who will play FBI agent Chloe Jocelyn in the fictional motion picture event, which will highlight the growing threat of cybercrime, identity theft and online vulnerabilities. The project will launch first as a series of installments on the Internet portal, before reaching other digital platforms.

Manny Montana is set to star as FBI agent Frank Parker and Kick Gurry will play a former cyber criminal turned good-guy, while Diego Velasco will direct and Miles Chapman is to write the script. CSI creator Anthony E. Zuiker will direct the production - which has teamed up with internet security specialist Norton by Symantec to consult on the project - and he is delighted to have signed up Olivier and Missy for the lead roles.

He said: “I could not be happier with the talent level for Cybergeddon. Missy, Manny, and Kick are such gifted actors and a dream trio for us, and Diego is a dynamic shooter and visceral storyteller. Adding Olivier Martinez to the mix puts this movie over the top.”

Anthony E. Zuiker is a world class storyteller and it is a testament to his vision for Cybergeddon that we are able to attract Olivier, Missy, and such an amazing cast.

The Canadian shoot (Hamilton, Ontario) is set to run through May and Cybergeddon will premiere globally on Yahoo! in September 2012

 Dear Squishy,

Something terrible has happened! I think you’ve been either kidnapped, living on a desert island or have been abducted by aliens! And there’s an imposter scampering about the countryside pretending to be you. He looks an awful lot like you only not as cute. He’s got a French accent and he’s driving your car, wearing your Levi’s but behaving in a manner contrary to the loveable Olivier Martinez we’ve always known.

The imposter is living with an actress in Los Angeles who is in a bitter custody battle with her ex-boyfriend, a really charming, wonderful and successful super model named after an Angel. Apparently you / the imposter have asked this woman to marry you. That was the first thing that gave you / him away. The second were these ridiculous shoes, clearly stolen from Gandalf the Grey.



The plan is to whisk the child away to live in your / the imposter’s native country of France, leaving her natural Father brokenhearted and desolated.

A team of us are working together to round up the imposter. We’ve got tranquilizer darts, rubber tubing, false red nose, a selection of cream pies and plenty of duct tape. Please try not to worry. We’ll get word to your mother.

I know you’d want us to rescue you, and we will. Somehow we’ll find the real Olivier Martinez who would never treat a little girl like chattel, condemning her to a life with out her natural Father … a half life always wondering what happened to the missing part of her life that ‘should have been’. I know you would tell that imposter that if he loved his bride to be enough to ask her to marry, he should love her enough to move to America so a family would not need to be torn asunder.

 I saw Dark Tide last night and I’m over the moon with euphoria!  It was still not available on Netflix but I found it in the Holy Mecca of Savings – Walmart, of all places and it was about nine bucks for 24 hours worth of viewing time. So I’m going to watch it again this evening. All I can say is I’m absolutely thrilled about the film. I’m not going to write a review because I’m afraid to spoil it for anyone. Also I am not a critic and I firmly believe that everyone should form their own opinions of the movie for themselves because we all enjoy entertainment in different ways and for different reasons. I will say only this about the character of Kate Mathieson played by Halle Berry – “Art imitates life”. And about the character of Jeff played by our own gorgeous, talented, sex bomb alpha male Olivier Martinez – He is with out question the BEST character in the film!!! I’m not going to tell you anymore unless you ask and if I do share anything I will post “spoiler alerts” under the cut. If you love Olivier and you can see it on VOD, do it. You won’t regret a moment! This is a film I will surely watch again and again.

 My dear friends,

This is not a rash decision. As a matter of fact I’d hoped to make it at least through the triumphant premiere of “Dark Tide”. But that is no longer going to happen. This journal is going on hiatus as of today. I had so much more to share but due to current events in Olivier’s life I no longer have the heart or will to continue. If as I continually hope, things take a turn for the better (or something miraculous happens) I will return and take up where we left off. But for now I’m going back to my studio to make art, as God intended. And I’m going to donate some time to the Obama re-election campaign! No kidding! I do have a Bachelors degree from Syracuse University after all. I will miss you and all that this journal represents while I am away. I cannot say how long but I will answer any questions and take part in some discussion in the comments section of this post. Now seems like a good time to tell you how much I love my bad tempered Dad. This is a man who as I grew up, wrote in every birthday and holiday card a little something like this, “… happy you’re doing well in school … blah blah … wish you good health and God’s blessing … blah … and don’t fight so much with your sister!!!”

Mom threatened us mit der Holz-Löffel if we didn’t quite down and go to sleep. Dad threatened to bang out heads together if we girls didn’t stop fighting. Oh they’re German, no wonder they’re bad tempered. Don’t they say the same of every nationality though? LOL!!!






The same man who let me ride on his back as a toddler, playing horsey told me when I was a teen to “get off my high horse” when I informed him of my dream to become a famous artist and own my own firm in California.

I’ve seen my father cry more often than my mother. They were both small children in Germany during World War II. One of the things Mom is most grateful for is her warm soft bed because as a child she slept on piles of cockroach infested hay and covered herself with newspaper while living in refugee camps in Denmark. Dad came to the United States in his early teens, finished high school and was drafted into the U.S. Army. That’s when he met my Mom. He was stationed in Germany. Looking through old photo albums I asked how on earth did Dad get out of fighting in the Vietnam War. Mom answered, “Yah vell dey needed cooks in Germany!”

Dad worked as a chemist making pigments, sorting garnet in a mine, painting houses for the county owned mental facilities and maintained government parking garages, anything to keep the lights on, food on the table, bills paid and some stashed away for retirement. He had aching feet, migraines and he was bad tempered. He held every office in our local Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, including that of President. And then one day he traveled as a missionary to Nicaragua where a church was being built in a poor village and needed painting.
This same man threatened to toss me out of the house if I ever came home pregnant but called that boy who broke up with me a month before the prom and told him that his daughter deserved a better explanation.

When I was little he carried me on his shoulders in the park if I was too tired to walk. And when at age 10, I was hit by a old Saab right in front of our house, it was he who came charging out and threatened to throttle the woman driver as I lay unconscious with my head on the curb just inches from my crying sister Christine and playmate Megan.

Dad has been right and wrong all of life, mostly right of course. He’s been fierce at times but mostly sweet and gentle as a lamb. He has the deepest, most loving heart and will stop what ever he’s doing to go help with what ever needs doing. And he has the best expression when he laughs, like his whole face is involved. It was that face I saw first when I woke from my first surgery.

My father is human and flawed but I sure do love him. We almost lost him 2009 to a systemic infection that would have killed any other mere mortal. Every day we get to have with him is a blessing and an honor. I need my Dad. A girl needs her Dad.

The following post is a work of genius. No I’m not drunk, just giddy.

6000 square feet is a lot of room to roller skate in. Granted, tables and chairs would be an obstacle for most … but not for me. Stairs, railings … no problem. 6000 square feet is also a lot of room for dining, dancing, and making merry and that is the size of the restaurant and lounge that Olivier Martinez, Michael Martin, and Jean Philippe Bernard are opening soon in Miami Beach, Florida. It will be called Villa Azur and will be like a fantasy land right out of the French Riviera. Yes, Squishy is building Xanadu!

I’ve got links and photos to share, google maps are a wonder of the modern age. The interior photos are conceptual and will give you an idea of what the place will look like when finished. The opening is schedule for some time in March 2012.

 Dear Squishy,

Congratulations on your massive accomplishment in the real life game of Monopoly. I’m used to your everyday ordinary laid back style with that twist of movie star charm, but this is a side of you I’ve never seen before, the well to do entrepreneur. I wish you all the luck in the world and great success.

What will happen now? Will you live in Miami? What about citizenship? What about Paris?!! Most of all we want to know if you will continue acting. What if a hurricane comes? Have you ever been in a hurricane? You know you won’t be far from the Everglades. Do you know what resides in the Everglades and travels well over flooded land? Yeah … crocodiles. You know you’re a crocophobe. Better get a big fat rifle to keep on hand in case of flooding, or a harpoon gun or a giant mallet … couple sticks of dynamite or a very loud ticking clock. Go easy and enjoy this new endeavor. We’ll be watching you if you will allow us. No matter what happens in the future, you have been and always will be a great love of mine.

I’m more excited now than I was before about “Dark Tide” on VOD this March. The reason is, because I looked up VOD and found that you don’t necessarily need cable television to view videos on demand, you can use the internet, which is spiffing considering that I watch internet and movies everyday using a projector. God, I’m resourceful. Also if the movies coming out in March, that will be all the sooner it will come out on DVD. Cheap fuckers better put some extras on the DVD!!! Interview, bloopers … the original musical number featuring Olivier and the singing sharks. Yeah.

I had another stroke of genius! Why not have a Miami screening of “Dark Tide” at Villa Azur! Think of the dinner theater entertainment value of munching Foie Gras while Squishy gets eaten by a shark in his own restaurant!









And now onto other matters. Once upon a time, our own beloved Olivier Martinez attended the Beverly Hills, California premiere of “Chicago”. It was December 10, 2002 and goodness did he look handsome. See for yourself …

In the news … I’m not sure what to make of this so I’m going to keep my opinions to myself and just report what I’ve found out about Dark Tide. Here it is. Lionsgate, which has a deal with Wrekin Hill, will launch the movie on VOD (video on demand) March 8, three weeks before releasing it theatrically on March 30. Details were not given about how wide the theatrical release would be. At any rate, the sooner the movie is released in theaters, the sooner the DVD will come out and we can all be happy again.
