My dear friends,

This Live Journal will be on hiatus for a while. I don’t know how long. My Dad went into the hospital nearly two weeks ago. Since then his health has rapidly deteriorated. Last Friday we were told that his liver was failing and that he would need a transplant. A lot has happened since then. He’s been transferred to Westchester Medical Center just outside of New York City to be placed under the special care of Dr. Wolf. In order to cure his liver, a cause for its sudden rapid failure had to be found. Today it was found. My father has “infective enocarditis” – an infected heart valve which must be replaced with in the next 24 hours. These past two weeks have been a living hell for our family. I hope with in the coming days I will be able to update you with great news but for now I with out reserve beg you to pray for a miracle healing for my most beloved and amazing father, Adolf Meyer.

With all my love,
Rollergirl

I think I actually have real news.

I’ve been getting news all morning about Olivier playing in a film with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz called “Knight & Day”. I’m including links. Likely there will be more throughout the day. (Perhaps I can include updates under “the cut”) The movie is to be an action comedy and Olivier is to play a ruthless arms dealer. I’m not thrilled about the bad guy thing again but since it’s a comedy it may be something entirely new for us fans. At any rate it’s better than a poke in the eye and it’s BIG screen!!!

The film was originally titled “Witchita” >>> http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1013743/fullcredits#cast .
It’s already filming even now as we speak! Woo hoo!!!

Links >>> http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=59987 and,

More news to come as it develops.
Love from Rollergirl

Edit:

Just wanted to add another link. This is a great one. >>> http://www.fusedfilm.com/2009/10/tom-cruise-project-gets-official-title-in-knight-day/

The more I hear about this and the more I think about it, the more excited I'm getting. LOL!!! This is a big deal. Playing with the likes of Tom Cruise, you know this film will be very well promoted. I wonder if Olivier's part is even now being filmed in the US or if his part will film in Europe. Sherlock is on the job. Woo hoo!!! Project!

 Dear Squishy,

What in the world have you done to the Eiffel Tower? Please write. Miss you a lot.

Love from Rollergirl

I’ve discovered something absolutely wonderful. It’s a delicious liqueur which a friend gave to me called St. Germain. If you have the means to pick up a bottle check out the website for drink recipes. It’s a beautiful website. >>> http://www.stgermain.fr/index2.php

I like my booze strong so I didn’t mix the precious liqueur with champagne, wine or soda. I made a cocktail with 2 shots of gin (from the freezer) , ¾ shot of St. Germain, and ½ shot of lemon juice. Stirred and served in a martini glass. Delicious!

   ...

I haven’t got any new news except to report that Olivier was last spotted in Madrid with his brother Vincent on September 24. Olivier’s hair is cropped very short and he is looking fit as a fiddle. I blame myself for this. I haven’t posted in a while so Squishy must have been very lost and confused and … he just wandered off.

And now I continue with screen caps from The Chambermaid on the Titanic …

It’s been too long since I last posted but I promise I have not been idle. I’ve been loading my YouTube account full of videos of Olivier. I hope you will enjoy them and let me know what you think. At YouTube I go by the name of “IamRollergirl”. I’m proud to say that the videos get a lot of views which makes me very happy for Olivier’s sake. Here is a direct link to my page.

And one here at MegaVideo >>> http://www.megavideo.com/?v=LXCOSUTO

In the news … IMDb is now listing a complete cast for “Deauville”. *twitch*

So I found out where Olivier had traveled to between California and France this July. He was with two stewardesses!  *giggles madly … I knew it!* LOL!!!   Well ok maybe not “with” them. Just photographed with them while attending The Goodwood Festival of Speed in the United Kingdom. Sooo busy. An event like this is right up our boy’s alley since he has a love of classic cars and motorcycles. Here’s a link to the article. >>> http://www.qatarairways.com/global/en/newsroom/archive/press-release-08Jul09.html

And then I also found this picture of Olivier with his friend Mia Maestro. I assume it was taken at Goodwood, but I cannot be positive as the photo was label was incomplete.

It’s a three day event from July 3 – 5. Here is the official site >>> http://www.goodwood.co.uk/site/content/festivalofspeed/

In other news Comso UK thinks very highly of Olivier in a story about fit foreign men. “International rescue: foreign fitties” – France: Olivier Martinez – It’s not hard to see what made Kylie smitten with her delicious ex Olivier. Slightly dangerous, a little mysterious and deliciously good looking, we’d do anything to practice French kissing with the actor.  Linky poo >>> http://www.cosmopolitan.co.uk/men/fit-foreign-fellas-oliver-martinez/gallery

Isn’t Olivier one of the most photogenic men you know? We all have yet another reason to thank my dear friend Leezadee. Not only has she provided this Live Journal with a paid extension but she has acquired a rare gem which I’d like to share with you today. I have in my possession a rare copy of Premiere Magazine France – July 1994 which I’ve scanned. One page is a picture with out text except for a one liner. The picture was backward so I reversed it. I know my Squishy’s face and that was printed backward. I even checked against the screen cap and was correct. There are extras which I cropped in close for anyone who may not be Photoshop savvy. I cried with joy and when this magazine arrived in the mail thanks to my Leezadee. It made me SO happy. I hope you enjoy it too. My French is not good enough to translate but maybe I’ll find some help.

I’d like to open by giving thanks to two very great friends and fellow fans of Olivier who have gifted me with Live Journal paid extensions. Leezadee and Bee, thank you again for this tremendous gift. It’s great to know that this journal is paid for next few years. Bee also bought me extra user pics (avi space). So I’ve been busy making small art this past week and having a wonderful time at it. What once was space for 40 user pics is now a gallery of 122! Woo hoo! I’d like to share the collection with you now. As always please take and use any of my avis. If you want to give credit that’s always very sweet but I would not demand credit for wee little avis. I’m not the photographer. I just take the photography and make it into small art for everyone to share and enjoy. Take them and use them all over the internet so Olivier may be seen and promoted. Here they are …

Here’s a quick news report. Olivier is no longer in California. He was spotted (I assume) at Charles de Gaulle International Airport according to my source ‘leaving’ Paris. He had the hippy thing going on with dark John Denver sunglasses, wearing his signature jeans, boots, leather jacket and scarf. He had his motorcycle helmet and limited luggage, so it looked more like he was ‘returning’ rather than ‘leaving’. I cannot speculate where he is headed, only hope it is to Deauville to film a movie. I don’t know what costume and makeup will make of him if and when they see him as his hair is cropped very close and short as though he’d lost a fight with an angry Flowbee. *shrugs* More news as the Squishy Turns.

 Cher Olivier,

Travel safe. Don’t forget your toothbrush and something with which to wrap your baget … one can never be too careful. God go with you. Best of luck! *wink*

... ... ... ... ... I wish to open with special thanks to my dear friend Bee who is my wealthy benefactor and has extended my paid account and added a bonus which all my guest will soon benefit from of an additional 100 user pics. Wooot!!! Thank you SO much my Bee!!! I’m working on new avis everyday and will post them soon. Olivier, Bee has said that she is a patron of this journal not only because she is my friend but also because in her own words you are made of awesome and she loves you. *bursts with heart bubbles*

Same as my copies of “The Chambermaid on the Titanic” I also have a VHS version of IP5 (IP5: L'île aux pachydermes) and a French only version of the DVD. Why? Because as far as I know the DVDs are not available in the U.S.. Well today I got news that IP5 may soon be available in the US according to this interview of director Jean-Jacques Beineix. Mind you, the article is not dated so I cannot attest for its validity. I am merely passing on the news.

Here is a link to the entire article, followed by the segment pertaining to the distribution of the DVD …

http://thehollywoodinterview.blogspot.com/2009/07/jean-jacques-beineix-hollywood.html

Jean-Jacques Beineix: The Hollywood Interview

JEAN-JACQUES BEINEIX:
Divas and Lions and Moons, Oh My!
By Alex Simon

Let’s talk about IP5, which is being released in this DVD set for the first time in the U.S. It was also Yves Montand’s last film.

I really love that film. It’s probably my favorite film. It didn’t get released in the States. I had the chance to have two films that were regarded as two of the best foreign films released in the last thirty years - Diva and Betty Blue. IP5 had the chance to be released in the States by New Line, I think. The man in charge of buying the film was a guy called Ira Deutchman and he was the guy who picked up Diva for the U.S. But I think at that time, he got fired from New Line, and the distribution went with him. That was it. Even Mortal Transfer got a very good reception at The Seattle Film Festival. I thought it was going to be like Diva, and the audience loved it. But it never got a release here. I just don’t understand it.

IP5 DVD and VHS covers, plus three promo shots

Can you imagine how much fun it would be to have employment as Olivier’s makeup artist in The Chambermaid on the Titanic? Imagine the cuteness of Olivier’s grumpy face while you smudge him filthy with blacking for race scene. LOL!!! Enjoy these continuing screen caps …

There isn’t any further news since my last heart stopping report of Olivier having supper with his fellow motorcycle enthusiast friend Orlando Bloom at The Little Door in Los Angeles but I’m pretty darn sure Olivier is still in California. More news as it developes.

I’m going to tell you about “The Chambermaid on the Titanic” next. It’s my second favorite Olivier Martinez film for many reasons. Again Olivier displays his incredible acting talent through every mood and stage of emotion. He’s the romantic lead in a truly romantic and somewhat erotic story. He doesn’t die … big plus. LOL!!! Watch and see and I know you will agree that it deserved its five stars! It’s absolutely fantastic!!!

I wish I had a trailer for this but for the life of me I haven’t found one yet. I’ll keep looking though. Instead I will post a few clips from the film as we progress through the story.

If you are looking to own the DVD you may have some trouble acquiring it if you live in the U.S. If you are French or Spanish you should have no trouble. My copy of the DVD came from Spain and was purchased for me by a very great friend of mine, Alix. I also have the VHS version which my fellow Americans will be able to purchase online at Amazon. The VHS version has English subtitles. The DVD I have from Spain has only Spanish subtitles.

Here is a really terrific synopsis I found written Stephen Holden of the New York Times. >>>

Our need for stories -- not just any old anecdotes but transporting tales of passion, heroism and loss -- may be as essential as our need for food. It is an appetite that embraces not just the classic fairy tales and adventure stories that are handed down through the generations but also our own personal narratives. The little storm-tossed autobiographies we compile help us explain and validate passions that might otherwise have no meaning once they've died. As skeptical as we may be about the boastful tales others spin about their romantic exploits, there is a part of us that hungers to believe and to be imaginatively swept by the most far-fetched fantasies.

There are many reasons why The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone is probably my favorite Olivier Martinez movie. It the character of Paulo DiLio as only Olivier can play him. He is handsome and beyond charming, a masterful seducer, prideful and prone to fits of rage, yet at times funny, tender hearted and sweet. It’s not only the lines Olivier speaks when he plays Paulo but his physical mannerisms, the flailing of his arm, the beating of his chest, his proud walk, the I’m going to dance with you now walk, his looks of consternation tempered by his moments of laughter. He sings beautifully in the movie and makes eyes to tempt you to do anything he wishes. I remember the moment I fell in love with Olivier. It was during this movie in the scene when the Countessa introduces Mrs. Stone to Paulo and she asks him, “Have we met?” And he gives her that look… Ooohh buuh buhh … I was hooked.

Tonight we complete our lessons on The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone first with screen caps from the interview and ending with promotional and behind the scenes shots. Enjoy …

I’ve got two news items. One I can confirm and one I cannot. Confirmed: Olivier is in California!  He was spotted yesterday June 4, 2009 making trips back and forth to his car, carrying bags full of goodies from Oscar Generale’s Clothing Showroom in Los Angeles. His hair is cropped quite short and he looks in fit condition for whatever California has in store for him. He was wearing his signature blue jeans, sunglasses, black boots and black t-shirt with Vincent printed over his chest. *giggle* For those of you who may not know, Vincent is his brother’s name.

You probably wonder where I get this information from, Olivier. No, I don’t have a tracking devise on you. It’s just the internet. I’m on the other side of the U.S. from you now in the woods of the Adirondack Park in Upstate New York. It’s beautiful here and it just so happens there is a biker convention going on all this week in Lake George called Americade. There are motorcycles of every description here … nearly 100,000 of them and it’s very noisy indeed.

The item I cannot help but report because I pray to GOD it’s true but cannot absolutely confirm is that Olivier has changed talents agencies. Last confirmed Olivier was represented by CAA – Creative Artists Agency. There was a report yesterday that Olivier has switched to a VERY reputable agency called TGA - The Gersh Agency.

Here’s hoping for the VERY BEST for our Olivier! I’ll be back with more news as it develops. Stay tuned.

Last week was a hard one due to family health issues but things are a bit better know and I’m praying will continue to improve. My little German mother has been extremely ill, Squishy. So I was forced to neglect you for a time while our family banded together to be our Mother’s advocate. I bet you got on just fine despite not having news of yourself from this journal. LOL!!! But I do miss you terribly, as do we all. It’s our fondest hope to see you out and about, busy and thriving. I hope that what ever you’re up too you are not neglecting your health, for I learned hard life lessons this past week that will haunt my memory forever. Stop smoking if you can. Drink red wine and so something good for yourself everyday. It IS true it really is true that if you have not your health, you have nothing. God keep you.

My friend Kkrueger has been a huge help to me in hunting down what little information we are able to find on Olivier's current or upcoming projects.  Now this is another exciting possibility for him listed at IMDb which is very exciting.  It's called Deauville.  K said, "I think you should make some sort of announcement to Olivier's fans that he's making a comeback."

I said, "Announce what?  There is nothing solid and so little information to go on."

Mostly I blame Chris Andrews for his failure to find good projects for Olivier and also for failing to negotiate properly when it comes time for putting pen to paper. It just seems like the last fo … few years, poor Olivier has had to put up with this sort of shit while waiting for his film projects to start. IMDb just says it all. A WOMAN should have been in charge!!! Chris Andres, Glenio Bonder and John Eyres … this video is all about you.

I have never seen Olivier’s movie called La Taule but I would love to own it on DVD. Because I live in the U.S. it’s much harder for me to acquire it. That doesn’t mean I’m not determined. I keep searching but if any of my French friends could steer me in the right direction I sure would love that. And I would express my appreciation by capping the movie and sharing it with Olivier’s fans here on Je t’aime Olivier.

I found treasure. It’s small but rare and precious. The following are small pictures from four of Olivier’s films - IP5, La Taule, The Horseman on the Roof and Unfaithful. Most of the pictures were way too dark, that’s why it took me longer than a couple days to post them because I wanted to lighten most of them and do a bit of color correction and enhancement. I’m posting originals of each shot first followed with my improved versions. The reason I’m posting both are for the artists who visit that might prefer to enhance the pictures themselves for their own artworks. I hope you enjoy these.

And in the news … It was Venice, not Rome. I even recognize the construction barriers in the Piazza San Marco in the paparazzi pictures. How do I know? LOL!!! Well lemme tell you what. I’ve got spies all over the world. My dear friend Alix who lives in Portugal (and who very lovingly supplied with a DVD of The Chambermaid on the Titanic available at the time only in places that did not trade with the U.S.) was on holiday with her sister in Italy. She just missed you Squishy by a day!

...   ...

You were photographed in the Piazza San Marco along with other celebrity friends on April 24 if my sources are correct. What a small world. Anyway, Alix took some pictures of the Piazza and they match the place where you had been hanging out.

It was Salma Hayek’s second wedding to Francois-Henry Pinault in Venice. Friday evening there was a rehearsal dinner and masquerade ball. Fancy indeed! *completely vexed no one got any shots of Squish Boy at the festivities – understandably a private affair.* Saturday there was a short civil ceremony followed by a reception at the Pinault family home in Venice. A modest but star studded 150 guests were there including former French President Jacques Chirac. What do you say to that aye?

And now Olivier is back at home in Paris. The man has shorn off all his beautiful hair again! *stomps skate* I dare not speculate on what he will do next but God willing there will be good news soon. We are all thinking about you Olivier and wishing you joy.

I’m having a huge day and have not put together another picture post but I will in the next day or two because I found some pretties! Stay tuned.

There were tears of joy when on April 8 a very nice lady called Barbara wrote in to give me news of Olivier. After a bit of searching I found a couple of shots of our boy in Los Angeles. I had even posted the news but took the post down about a half hour later because I could not confirm the date as none was given, no article, no details. But now I’m beginning to believe that Olivier did really make a recent but short trip to the United States because he looked the same as he does right now in Rome!!! Olivier is found once again thanks to the wedding plans of his friend Selma Hayek! *dances* So far there are only paparazzi pictures and you know how I feel about posting those. I respect Olivier’s privacy. I’ll keep you posted on any further news I find.

Have a wonderful time, Olivier! Travel safe, dance and receive tons of kisses.

Dear Dori Zuckerman,

You probably don’t remember meeting me. Oddly enough I don’t remember meeting you either, but that’s not important. What I was hoping to talk to you today about is Olivier Martinez. Now I understand your job is to find talent and I’m sure you know Olivier but do you really know just how versatile that fine actor is? Not only is he capable of portraying any range of emotion necessary but also he is a truly coordinated individual and gifted action star. See before Olivier became and actor he was a boxer. He wears leather as if God made the stuff specifically for him and shows off its fine fit while riding his motorcycle. He can beat a man to a pulp, wield a sword, jump in or out of windows as you please, transform into a wolf, fight a bull and that not even the half of it. He runs so fast that every screen cap I make is a complete blur. If you’ll take a look at Olivier’s portfolio you will discover that he is eminently qualified for the task you have in mind for him. The only thing left to do is put pen to paper and seal the deal. What do you say? I mean who else has that predatory glare that both frightens the weak and dares the brave to join him in the bedroom? Just food for thought from one who knows.

Yours truly,
Rollergirl
